CITY OF KELOWNA

The Urban Planning Department required a tourism kiosk strategy to be implemented throughout Kelowna’s Cultural District, Downtown District and Heritage District. The bright illustrations used on top are part of a series that the City’s Public Art Committee commissioned via a public art competition. The Kiosks include 1, 2 and 6 sided structures with a total of 43 panels.

The process included working alongside The City of Kelowna Planning Dept. and Kelowna Museums on the consultation of the structure design, district colour designation, content and final design for all 43 panels. The 6 sided kiosks include 3 historic panels, 1 you are here map panel showcasing public art, points of interest and ephemera, 1 events panel that is updated monthly and 1 panel for racking tourist information.
