Going to a cancer clinic can be a stressful experience. Not being able to easily navigate your surroundings once you arrive adds to that stress. The previous signage focused primarily on the buildings extensive art collection.
Our new strategy focuses on helping guide patients and visitors. The final design offers a softer, less clinical feel due to the colour palette and the addition of the accompanying artwork.

OLD WAYFINDING
The BC Cancer logo and brand guidelines were heavily incorporated into the new branded wayfinding system. At the completion of the project BC Cancer was given a working PDF document that included all sign types, working drawings, and specifications (including sizes, materials, installation hardware, colours, and fonts).
Based on our findings from the on-site audit of the centre, the project scope was expanded to include exterior building identification signage, and the new PET/CT building.
